Jim Baich is the founder and owner of MAD Capital, a private investment company. Prior to MAD, Jim was Chief Operating Officer (COO) at both Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) and IGS Energy (IGS). In 2010, Jim joined IGS as COO and immediately helped lead a wholesale transformation of the executive team and business strategies to become billion-dollar broad energy concern with over 1,000 employees. During his eight-year tenure as COO, Jim helped evolve the culture to become the “Best Places to Work in Central Ohio” for three straight years. In 2011, Jim was instrumental in the aggressive expansion into the power markets which now account for considerable bottom line earnings. In 2014, he organically started a profitable compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling business that now sells over five million gallons per year and in 2015 launched a solar business in 2015 that will generate over $200 million in revenue this year. Due to the aggressive growth of the solar business, he led the capital raise process and raised over $500 million of third-party capital from ORIX, US Bank, Prudential and ARES. In 2010, Jim started Ripple Mobile and built GPS-based mobile apps – OnTime, SalesPal and PhoneTag and realized an exit on OnTime. During Jim’s 16-year tenure at ADS, he led over 3,000 teammates in sales, logistics, manufacturing, customer service, information technology, plant engineering and construction and international operations. At both ADS and IGS, Jim was a key leader in a dozen successful acquisitions and has significant experience in deal execution and the assimilation of these targets. Prior to ADS, Jim was a Manager at Accenture (formerly Anderson Consulting) where he managed projects in the retail, services, chemical, government and manufacturing industries. He obtained Engineering and Finance degrees from Marietta College where he achieved Phi Beta Kappa. Jim Baich currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Tri-W Group (formerly W.W. Williams) and was a former Board Advisor for Team Fishel.
