Founder & CEO
Steve Flaherty is the Founder & CEO of necoPlastics, a mission driven startup plastic recycling company out of Delaware, Ohio. He is also the founder of Yumii Kettle Corn Co which he and his wife, Rachel, have grown from a pop-up tent into one of the largest popcorn providers in Ohio. Steve has over 15 years of professional sales experience and considers himself an entrepreneur since he started his first company at age 12. He’s spoken to audiences all over the U.S. and is the Lead Organizer for 1 Million Cups Columbus, a Kauffman Foundation entrepreneur outreach program. Steve is a former elected township trustee of Berlin Township, currently serves on the Berlin Zoning Commission and recently was appointed as Entrepreneur In Residence at the Delaware Entrepreneurial Center at Ohio Wesleyan University. Steve holds his B.S. in marketing from Miami University in Oxford, OH and his MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Louisville. He enjoys his spare time with his wife Rachel and their four young kids in Delaware, Ohio.
